Creature Breeding Towers

Breeding population checks use horizontal (2D) distance, so adults of the same species, offspring and eggs within the breeding radius still count even far above or below the parents. Dropping offspring down a tower does not make room for more births: once the local population limit is reached, breeding stops. Give your animals room and move offspring out of the horizontal breeding radius.

Metal Teleport

All Server Access also lets your character carry metals and ore through available portals. After finishing the required boss progression, write at a public hub cartography table to claim All Server Access. This removes the normal inventory item restriction that prevents ore and metal from traveling through ordinary portals. You still need an available portal route and permission to use it; worlds that disable portals keep their own travel rules.

Personal Resource Knowledge

Your own boss victories let you harvest and collect more of the world's resources. Sunshine Alley uses your character's boss progression to unlock configured higher-tier resources and items. Having a strong borrowed tool does not by itself unlock a resource or item you do not yet know. The world's era release dates also apply, so a 'not released' message means you need to wait for that world's schedule as well as complete your progression.

Deep North Access

Your character's Fader victory opens the way into the Deep North. Sunshine Alley checks your own Fader progression before allowing safe exploration of the Deep North. Without it, the biome inflicts an escalating frost penalty. Complete that victory on the character you plan to take north; someone else's progression does not unlock the region for you.

Boss Victory Credit

Stay within 60 metres when a boss dies to receive your character's victory credit. A boss's defeat awards its progression flag to the characters nearby when it dies, using a 60-metre range. A disabled ward lets another player opt in to its permitted list. To give a nearby player access, disable the ward and have them aim at it and use its Permit action. The default Permit key is T. Re-enable the charged ward afterward to restore its restrictions. A permitted player can also use Unpermit to leave the list while the ward is enabled. Permissions and ownership use Steam accounts, so the same account's characters share that access.

Unattended Combat Protection

Warded build pieces have extra combat protection when permitted defenders are absent. For building pieces linked to an enabled ward, combat damage is suppressed while no owner or explicitly permitted player is being rendered nearby. A stranger does not count as a defender. When a permitted defender is present, the server's configured ward damage reduction applies instead. This concerns combat damage to linked pieces; it does not replace structural support or ward permissions.

Rain Protection

An active ward helps keep uncovered building pieces from weathering in rain. Building pieces connected to an enabled, non-abandoned ward are treated as protected from ordinary rain wear. This is useful for outdoor decks and exposed wooden details. It does not remove the ordinary need for structural support, and it does not promise protection from Ashlands or lava damage. Keep the ward charged and check its coverage rather than assuming every nearby piece is linked.
