The New tab collects building pieces and crafting recipes your character discovers during the current play session. It gives you somewhere to review new unlocks after their discovery messages have disappeared.
When does the tab appear?
The tab appears after your character learns a new building piece or crafting recipe during play.
Recipes your character already knew when joining are not added. If you have made no new discoveries during the session, the tab stays hidden.
Discoveries belong to your character’s local view. Another player learning a recipe does not add it to your list.
What does it show?
The tab includes both building pieces and craftable items, grouped by the tool or crafting station associated with them.
You may see groups such as:
Build pieces for ordinary hammer construction.
Separate groups for pieces belonging to other building tools.
Hand crafting for recipes without a crafting station.
Station groups such as Workbench, Forge and Black forge.
Entries are sorted alphabetically within each group. Use the search field to narrow the list by name.
The list records discoveries regardless of whether you currently carry enough materials to make them.
Can you build or craft from this tab?
Ordinary hammer building pieces can be selected directly. If necessary, the game attempts to equip a hammer you are carrying before selecting the piece. Normal availability and placement requirements still apply.
Entries for other building tools and crafting recipes are previews. Use the appropriate tool or crafting station to make them.
How long do discoveries stay?
Discoveries remain throughout your current world session:
Closing the menu does not clear them.
Viewing, selecting or making an entry does not remove it.
Death and respawning do not clear the list.
Newly learned recipes continue to join the list during the session.
Leaving the world clears the session list. When you join again, recipes already saved as known do not reappear as new.
Your character keeps the recipes they learned; only the New tab’s temporary discovery list resets.
