Tap the build-menu control to choose a piece; hold it to face your view.
During Enhanced Build Mode with keyboard and mouse, a short tap of the normal Build Menu control opens or closes the build menu, equipping your inventory hammer if needed. Holding it for a little longer turns your character toward the camera's view with an unarmed blocking pose.
