Welcome to Hellshine,
where only the Brave, Foolhardy, or Terminally Suicidal venture.

Hellshine is not an Eternal Server, though it usually lasts longer than prog.

Currently there is No Hellshine - The Ashlands on Main is doing a good job of filling the gap.

Hellshine was originally envisioned as the PVP Server.

It was also seen as a serious step up in difficulty from Main, for those combat oriented types who need further challenges.

All the Mobs are significantly harder than main both in their Hit points and the damage they deal

As a result they all drop significantly more loot and enchanting mats

Currently Death in Hellshine has all the costs of death on any of our servers - skill loss, and gear drops where you die.

OK, so you really want to reduce all your skill points, quickly.

You will need:

• Top end gear legendary enchanted - preferably artifacts
• Best food
• Best portions
• Best weapons - Artifacts are nice
• Well rested and alert
• Mentally prepared for skill loss and nightmare Gear recoveries.
• Pack as empty as you can to lug all the loot out

Remember it is also PVP
People are allowed to pillage your bases, destroy your portals, steal your boats, lay in ambush to kill you.
Players do not show up on the Map
Find a nice Troll cave, or somewhere equally discrete to hide your base - a Big base visible from the sea is asking for visitors.
Make lots of emergency waypoint portals so you can minimise the naked run distance to get to your corpse.
Try not to leave too many obvious portal around as quick entry points for visitors
