Enchanting Overview

EpicLoot addon developed by RandyKnapp and heavily modified and balanced for our servers exclusively, including many new enchants and artifacts as well as alteration of drop rates and other changes to imrpove the balance of the game with EpicLoot enabled.

It does not include the latest addition of Mythic enchants, instead we have our very own unique Artifact enchant system.

Enchanting is a feature available to players who have completed the Progression Server and unlocked access to the Main Server. This game mechanic allows players to enhance their armor and weapons by using specific enchanting materials.

Unlocking Enchanting

To begin enchanting, players must first:

  1. Complete the Progression Server
  2. Unlock the Main Server
  3. Build the Enchanting Table within the game
  4. Unlock Enchanting within the Enchanting Table

Enchanting Materials

Players can acquire enchanting materials from creatures that are rated three stars or higher, which is a higher rating than those on the Progression Server. These materials include:

Material Required for Obtained from
Dust Enchanting & Augment Creature loot (above 2 stars)
Reagent Enchanting & Augment (Armor) Creature loot (above 2 stars)
Essence Enchanting & Augment (Weapon) Creature loot (above 2 stars)
Shards Augmenting Sacrificing creature trophies.
Runestones Enchanting Sacrificing boss trophies.

The likelihood of obtaining these materials increases with the star rating of the defeated creature.

Enchanting Process

To enchant an item, players need:

  • Runestone: For the enchantment process.
  • Dust: For both enchanting and augmenting.
  • Essence (for weapons) or Reagent (for armor): Depending on the item being enchanted or augmented.

Enchanted items receive a list of Effects at random. These Effects can be further augmented once Augmenting is unlocked via the Enchanting Table.

Augmenting Items

Similar to enchanting, augmenting an item requires:

  • Shard: Derived from creature trophies.
  • Dust: As a base material.
  • Essence (for weapons) or Reagent (for armor).

Augmenting allows the modification of an existing Effects, offering a list of random new Effects choices.

Rarity and Effects

Enchantments in the game are categorized into four distinct rarities, each providing a higher magnitude of effect or unlocking new enchantments not available at lower tiers. These rarities are:

  • Magic: Basic level of enchanting, offering foundational enhancements.
  • Rare: Provides more substantial enhancements than Magic.
  • Epic: Introduces more powerful and sometimes unique enchantments.
  • Legendary: Offers the highest magnitude of effects and the possibility of unlocking highly coveted enchantments.

The materials used in the enchanting or augmenting process must match the rarity of the item being enchanted. For example, a Legendary weapon requires Legendary materials for enchantment.

Artifact Level Enchants: Artifact level enchant is superior to regular enchantments. These enchantments may include unique effects or set bonuses that are not available at lower enchantment levels. When an item achieves Artifact status, it is guaranteed to have all six effect slots filled, enhancing its capabilities significantly.

Source of Enchanting Materials by Rarity

The game designates specific creatures and locations as sources for enchanting materials of different rarities:

  • Magic Rarity:
    • Elite creatures in Mountains and creatures in Plains and drop materials of Magic Rarity.
  • Rare Rarity:
    • Elite creatures in Plains and creatures in Mistlands drop materials of Rare Rarity.
  • Epic Rarity:
    • Elite creatures in Mistlands and creatures in Ashlands drop materials of Epic Rarity.
  • Legendary Rarity:
    • Elite creatures in Ashlands drop materials of Legendary Rarity.

This system ensures that players must venture into increasingly challenging territories to gather materials suitable for higher-level enchantments.
