A useful feature added on Sunshine Alley is sign-to-chest linking. This feature assigns an ID to chests, allowing you to connect them to signs. To do this, type {items} on a sign, then press (T) on both the sign and the chest to link them. You can create multiple connections between a single sign and several chests.

This setup allows the sign to display the quantity and contents of the connected chest(s), making it easy to showcase all the items stored within.

Note: This feature only works with vanilla signs. The Colored Signs below use legacy code.

Colored Signs are a fun and decorative addition we have introduced. These signs can spice up your builds and help organize your storage system. Reflecting light, they serve as useful decoration pieces.

You can create Colored Signs using the building hammer. They have a normal wood cost, but the coloring materials vary depending on the desired color. The materials required for each color are as follows:

• Yellow Mushroom

• Surtling Core

• Freeze Gland

• Guck

You can turn down the brightness of the signs shine, find the Bloom setting in your graphics and turn that off.
