Frostbite is an enchantment that increases the duration of the Frost debuff when an enemy is hit with the Staff of Frost.

• Gear Enchantment:
  • Standard gear: Ice Shards ranges from 10 to 20.
  • Legendary gear: Ice Shards ranges from 15 to 25.

• The maximum possible Frostbite on all gear combined is 150.

When an enemy is struck by the Staff of Frost, the game calculates the duration of the Frost debuff based on frost damage versus enemy max health. Then total points of Frostbite enchantment applied across all equipped gear will increase this duration.

Duration Modifier:

• The total points from all equipped Frostbite enchantments are summed up.
• The duration of the Frost debuff is then modified by the following formula:

Modifier = 1 + 2 * (Frostbite / 150)
Duration = OriginalDuration * Modifier

Example:

• Assume you have 75 Frostbite points spread across your gear.
• The base duration of the Frost debuff is increased by 100%.
